Irrigation control
GPRS communication
Remmon has developed control software that supervises valve opening and closing and provides fertilization control and management. Such systems are usually equipped with PC-based management software that controls and manages the irrigation system.
Basic control software can work with SCADA systems such as Wizcon. For additional information: www.axeda.com
Irrigation Control
Remmon was assigned in 2008 by real estate company, Minrav, to provide control units to a sewage treatment facility located at Israel’s Ben-Gurion airport.
The system connects that system to dozens of valves located in different agricultural fields, and supervises their opening and closing. It also allows the usage of wastewater for irrigation and other requirements.
In order to remotely manage and run the sewage treatment facility, it was required to institute remote monitoring of the PLC and sensor device units. In order to avoid unfortunate environmental damage or sewage flow for irrigation, each stage in this delicate process needs to be monitored carefully. Remmon has supplied the company with continuous bi-directional communication that connects the PC with the field unit or PLC through a GSM/GPRS cellular network without any distance or data limitation based on Remmon’s R-PIPE Serial over IP
